Personal Strength Training for over 50s in London (and every other age)

Our youngest client is twelve; our oldest is eighty-six. Several came to us on the recommendation of their GP or osteopath - clinician referrals are always welcome. The common thread is the protocol: a single supervised weekly session on MedX, Nautilus and Cybex equipment, following the approach Yoram trained in at Kieser.

Who trains here

We work with a wider range of people than the protocol's reputation might suggest. In practice, our clients fall into a handful of groups:

  • People with acute or chronic lower-back pain. The MedX Core Lumbar Strength machine is the reason many of them came in the first place; it isolates the small muscles of the lower back in a way no free-weight exercise can.
  • Former Kieser Training Camden members. Several came to us to carry on the lumbar-extension work they had built up over years on the Kieser machines in Camden.
  • Adults building general strength. Fit, active people who want a stronger, leaner, more durable body alongside everything else they do.
  • People preparing for something specific. Most often, sports preparation or trekking expeditions.
  • Older adults living with osteoporosis or arthritis. Slow, supervised resistance work is a reliable way to keep bone and muscle strong into later life.
  • Parents of rugby-playing teenagers. One-to-one supervised loading lets young players build strength safely.
